For the mailboxes - Rattle rattle rattle! BTW, I did a black box w/ blue and green flames for my buddy (he's a Seahawks fan), and it turned out a lot better than mine.
All the responsible adults are going to shake their heads in dismay, but I let my sons (ages 5 and 2) do some of the painting. They aren't coordinated enough for the airbrush, but they can push the button on a can of paint. Some might think giving spray paint to a little tyke is a bad idea, but those kids see the mailbox every day and think "I did that."
