I would take at least half of those pieces and incorporate them into an ad-add some text, etc. I keep 3 sample sheets: photographic work, commercial and a combo sheet of graphics and photography. Well, I'm not too much into taking pictures and I don't even own a camera so that leaves out the photography aspect. But as for the advertising aspect, that's a good idea. Most of the places I will be applying to will not be advertising firms, but I think I'll make a second portfolio just for the ad firms based on your suggestions.
