Ok, so i have been at college for a little over a week. I do not have any flipflops with me, so i have not been wearing any in the shower (kind of gross, but not that big of a deal).

Well, about 3 days ago i started to get this sore type thing in the corner of my mouth. It is not on the outer part of the lip, but inside a little bit. I cannot tell whether this is just a canker(sp?) sore or a cold sore or what.

So the thing is.... i have never gotten a cold sore in my entire life. I dont have herpes...or at least i didnt. Could it actually be possible that i acquired herpes and formed a cold sore in less than a week of showering barefoot? I know that my girlfriend has had cold sores once in a great while, so i swear it would be from her, except we have been dating for nearly a year and i have never kissed her when she has a cold sore (yes i know this is not foolproof) and i have never gotten one of my own either.

And there is still the off chance that it is just a canker sore. what do you think?
