Linux is 100% free and will work with pretty much any machine.. If you have any old computer that turns on and has atleast a cdrom or floppy (no hard drive), you have the hardware needed. The knowledge is pretty simple too.. a distrubution called Knoppix (requires a cdrom) is self contained.. pop it in, turn it on, and boom, you have Linux running.

Anyhoo, just an idea Ive gotten around a few firewalls that were irritating me with this method.
