Thanks guthmund - I enjoyed the way the tree looks - trees are a favorite and I plan to do a major piece involving one. So there will be many versions before that, and this particular sketch will quite probably be one of the ones I refer to. As for the house - it was a warm house. I highly recommend the hospitality extended there, and urge anyone who possibly can to take advantage the next time it is offered
