Nice self-affirmation, very sneaky yet so diluting!
Im not sure about the whole story the architect was telling. When you pan it out, they did say that the story pulls from a variety of beliefs. The idea that one continues their life repetitively to get it 'right' is not a new one. Regardless, they cut the movie at the EXACT point (hollywood is SO fucking good at that) where you need information. This is a good thing as well as a negative action. The good, we'll want to see the third. The bad, we'll have 9 MILLION people analyzing the movie over and over to various degrees and mental capacities, which, can get very boring, very quickly for some of us.
