I don't see how anyone could possibly find that offensive. That's exactly what I do when I change clothes when I'm out shopping. How else can you change clothes? Heck, I can't even get undressed to take a shower unless there's some bad techno music playing.

Other than that, I prefer the Sims 2 for designing a body and playing dress up. Plus, you can kill people you don't like.
