Gotten more 2005 releases since then, so the list looks more like:
Brendan Benson - The Alternative to Love
Andrew Bird and the Mysterious Production of Eggs
Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze
Of Montreal - The Sunlandic Twins
Of those, I still need to give the Andrew Bird a few more listens, but my favorite so far by far is The Sunlandic Twins. The Queens is great when good, and boring when not. For every fantastic "Burn the Witch" or "Someone's in the Wolf", there's an uninteresting "In My Head" or "You've Got a Killer Scene There, Man...". Andrew Bird's the same way, wonderful spots and lackluster spots, though I'm more hopeful that the lackluster would grow on me with further listens. Benson's good, but only a couple tracks might qualify as more than ordinary.
