Poems For Your Pleasure
As I lay sleeping the lights dance around in my mind.
I dream of the city where I was once born,
And wonder why I'm still alive
I look to the clouds to find me some peace,
But all I can see is the rain.
I think of this dream, it may be a nightmare,
And hope for the morning to come soon.
The wretched road I like to lay my tread on,
seems somehow to tread upon me.
I try to escape and whistle a bit,
as my cracked lips put forth but a spurt.
I wake from the dream, and find I'm still sleeping,
The twisted humor I've become.
Alas as I float, throughout my hard slumber,
I cant seem to find the way out.
I think that I will rest my mad mind
and sleep for a moment or two

her sweet song of laughter
floats through the air
and warms my heart
