He died way before his time.
Tobacco claims another victim. Jennings' death reminds me of my own father who smoked for 40 plus years and then quit cold turkey one day. 12 years later, my father, like Jennings was diagnosed with lung cancer and lasted about 6 months.
It's a terrible and terrifying way to die. Watching all the news takes me right back and I know all too well what lung cancer means and how totally preventable it is.
