You can't use the "boys will be boys" excuse for that kind of blatant disrespect for women. I have no problem with beautiful women in games, why do they have to be so blatantly "used?"

Well, you see... they're not. The examples you used (in case you forgot, they were "nude patches and over-boobed fem characters") don't really mean a thing. Let's take them one at a time.
1) Nude patches. NOT RELEASED BY THE COMPANIES THAT MAKE THE GAMES. How many times do we have to go over this? Nude patches are always - ALWAYS - user modifications that are NOT sanctioned by the makers of the game. That has NOTHING to do with game development, it's the people who BUY the game who are doing it.
2) "over-boobed fem characters." Well, if we take a look at example one, we'll notice that just about every PC game with females in it (they don't even have to be attractive - just look at The Sims) at one point or another (often within a week of the release date) has a nude patch released for it. And those nude patches are snatched up like wildfire by - you guessed it - horny little boys. Those horny little boys make up a large part of the market share.
Then there's the majority of the market that doesn't in fact use the nude patches. Well, even if they're not desperate to see naked pixels, the simple fact is... men like looking at attractive women. Get used to it. Women like looking at attractive men. Get used to it. Men like looking at attractive men. Women like looking at attractive women. The word attractive means that we enjoy it.

We live in a capitolist society. By definition, if companies make games that people don't like, they fail. They HAVE to tailor to the audience. Nobody wants to play "Extreme Teenaged Flat-Chested Pizza Face Adventures VII." They want Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Boob Bouncing.
One final note... how on earth did this discussion end up here? I still think it's an overly sensitive society's fault. But since you can't blame a society, it's obviously the parents' fault. That is all.
