Apparantly, the more straight forward approach of drivedown the ramp onto the ferry just didn't cut it. I've used the Bremerton ferry dock many times and I'm confused as to how they plan to integrate a tunnel into it.

No doubt regarding Seattle! Of course I don't know how you can add much more given the geography, but I was always amazed that the west side of the Sound had the freeway going all the way up into the woods where I would expect a two-laner would do the job. I know they have to support Bangor and PSNY but still, it seemed a bit much to me.
