I don't think you'll need to share C: or any other fixed drive you have.
Win sets up these admin shares by default.
You just need permission to use them. By that I mean, if you are on a domain it should authenticate you automatically if you are domain admin.
In a workgroup, you might have to enter an account name and password if you have different accounts set up on the machines.
Don't mess with sharing the root of your C: if you can help it. If someone does get in, it makes it a little easier for them to view your files.
