I always say my number twice and spell my name.
What really bugs me is when people don't leave a message about why they have called.
'Hi, it's Bob. Call me back'
I don't chit-chat on the phone so if someone calls me it is for a reason. Let me know WHY I have to call you so I can be prepared and can keep the conversation as short as possible!
Even worse is when you check your caller ID and see someone important (mother, spouse, etc) called 10 times over the last hour and did not leave a single message. Drives me crazy!
