Without being to "left" it does make a compelling read, and like all things you read on the internet should be seen as such (written opinions). However most of it does seem correct and well said/written.
It is my humble view that there is more to this than just the retoric of left and right. However what we are faced with is the invasion of Iraq under dubious curcumstances. People die each day, not just soldiers but civilians as well. Furthermore since the start of the war the random violence has increased enourmously around the world. It is therefore not strange that people start to question their leaders and their decisions. I find it harder to believe that people still seem to ridicule those who think about this "pickle" and have an opinion.
You are right when you say that it is geared towards a certain point of view (but so are your articles and remarks). However we are all adults (or atleast thinking human beings) and therefore can view this article for what it is without your positive feedback.
As for my opinion. The war on Terror/Osama/Iraq was ill thought up, badly planned, poorly supported and done for the wrong reasons. Before you mention Poland, let's remind us of the coalition in Gulf War 1. Where are the allies from the region? the Islamic countries? Offcourse you can use certain military outposts in the region, but there is no big movement to support this "just cause". This alone should make you think about the reasoning behind the war.
Don't get me wrong Osama, Saddam and those who support either (or both) of them are "unpleasant folk". However this war and the road leading to it seem to be full of side tracks, U turns and hairpins. To much has happened to outright dismiss these ideas.
I feel that there is a core of truth to these thoughts. Do I accept them at face value. No. Do I outright dismis them cause I see some flaws or because they do not fit my ideas. No.
If you can not even think that this might be true, that there might be a different truth/point of view to these events, well than I wish you all the best. But wish others the same and leave them in their own right
We care a lot, about transformers cause there is more than meets the eye to quote Faith no More freely
P.S. sorry about spelling mishaps, it is late (23:20 local time) after a long day and I am knackered.
