My experiences with accidents (which officially on paper number 2) have both been because of my Sleep Apnea. Sounds strange.. but its true. I was the A$$ that rear endeed someone not one time.. but two times.
the first time I was on my way to work and had one of those "long blinks" and when i opened my eyes I was going 40 mph and only about 20 feet from the car in front of me that was stopped at a light. Needless to say, the Geo Metro that I was driving looked aweful and I didnt feel much better.
the second time i blame my kids for (but it was reall my fault for not watching the road). They were fighting over a silly $1.50 rubber stretchy toy and i looked back to grab it and take it. Lo- and behold, at the on ram to the highway a car was stopped at a light. (this light was one of those rush hour, red/green ones that moderate trraffic.) so there goes my $14k van and I get the ticket for being an idiot.
I feel for the guy that rear ended you .. and was supremely depressed when the guy in front of me said "its my mom and dad's car.. I was on the way to the airport to pick them up" ..
I hope the whiplash gets better.. and good luck with the insurance claim.
