Don't know if this thread's still alive, but for those who wish to kill the bastards withough leaving a big mess (which is how I deal with them because they gross me out) is to grab some windex and give him a shot. It's crazy, their legs detach and they immediately fall to the ground. Leaves no mess, except the dead carcass, easily cleaned with a tissue. The spray with windex/clorox cleaner method actually works with most insects.
