That, my friend, looks like a house centipede (as others have noted). We used to get them in a basement apartment, and according to the source I read trying to figure out what the hell it was, they can bite (one of the following links says a bite is harmless, one says it is similar to a beesting). Several of these creatures met with my friend, the can of Raid. I couldn't bring myself to get close enough to kill them. One hid under some clothes hubby left on the floor in the bathroom after his shower, and when I picked them up, it crawled on me. I was scarred for life (and hubby got an ass-chewing on picking up his clothes).
