Allow me to clarify, since I am new to this forum, that I have a nasty habit of playing devil's advocate and that most, if not all, of the views I have been advocating on this thread are not my own. My purpose here is to show that, although we all want to prevent humans from dying, we are not willing to do certain things to accomplish this end. But
why not? Why is killing so reprehensible that we would allow four (net) people to die rather than do it? Are clean hands worth more than four human lives?
EDIT: Damn, I can't fix that tag!
