I haven't seen much info on side effects, either, probably because there aren't many. Hormones should be the same, since you're leaving the ovaries intact. I've seen some pretty strident rhetoric out there about something called "post tubal ligation syndrome" but it appears to be anecdotal at best - there might be a small group of women who have hormonal difficulties after a ligation, but they're rare, and chances are they were probably pre-existing hormone problems that were masked by birth control pill use before ligation.
