Scenario 1 = easy to answer
Definately save the 5 I can.
but...
Scenario 2 is a different story. I would first (probably) ask the fellow with the broken finger if he was willing to sacrifice his life to save 5 others...if he said no, so be it, but I wouldn't just kill him to save the other 5 due to the fact that death
is a natural part of life...(confusing)
