Actually, that's wrong. There's a reason that oftentimes very intelligent people will purposely resort to arguments that have fallacies is because they are more effective. When you are oriented as results as a politician, lawyer, leader, public speaker, etc. oftentimes being formally correct is not as important as getting people to buy your argument.
