In order to understand why I have both long hair and facial hair, compare these two pictures. The small one (old webcam) was taken on June 21 2004. The big one was taken 5 minutes ago. I dare anyone to try to convince me that I looked better a year ago.

edit: in fact, I can do one better and replicate the facial expression and angle of the old pic. The challenge still applies.
