Not a whole lot of skill involved in a shootout, more luck than anything in my opinion at least.
I don't see how a shootout is going to offer the league financial security and as for the viewers and money from a TV package, I guess time will tell, but as for myself, I'd like the rules to go back the way they were and stop screwing around with the game that is what would make me watch.
