I think that's why long hair on men is considered a gay look by many people. It is effeminate. And that's why really short hair or bald looks are considered "butch" or dyke-ish on women. It's in our genes. Been codified in the bible. Millenia of history behind it, too.

heh using the bible to base opinions is a scary thought to me.
oh and I have had both long and short hair several times,(long now) and I gotta say both have advantages and disadvantages. I equate having long hair with being bald in a way.....in that you can wake up and boom brush let hang, boom your done. if you bald....well there ya go.
When I have had hair in that inbetween stage i have to use moose and or hair gel and sit in front of the mirror and screw with it to get it to take on a style that I dig. I am a liberal so I choose long hair
