The only place I wear flip-flops is to the pool. I don't like flip-flops as normal attire. I'm just not that casual when it comes to dressing. I can't stand leaving the apartment in a t-shirt. My wife is the same way. She refuses to wear flip-flops with a dress or out of the apartment unless we're going to the pool.
To quote her, "flip flops are horrible! Now, if you're wearing khakis or cargo shorts and you're a man, then flip-flops are okay. There are beautiful heels out there to wear and why would any woman wear flip-flops??" She says this while throwing her arms up. "Anyone buying expensive flip-flops are being taken!"
On the other hand, I understand that many, many, many people prefer flip-flops. It's just not for me. Besides, I've got some ugly-ass feet and don't want people staring at them.
