I'll probably watch it on video unless it gets bad reviews. (I very rarely watch movies in the theater). I liked School of Rock. This remake is by the same director - Richard Linklater.
Regarding "Karl" - I've seen Billy Bob Thornton in so many movies. I no longer see him as "Karl". He seems to favor roles that require him to play a drunken idiot.
