i think white house press secretary has to be about the worst job on earth. part of your gig is to take the personal hit in terms of credibility as a function of your position as media lackey in chief for the administration. i dont know why anyone would take the job. particularly with an administration so prone to arrogance and to play fast and loose with not only the truth, but reality as other people know about it as this one. it seems like the central feature of the job description is "must be willing to be left twisting in the wind"
