This post only proves that cinema snobs can't let go and enjoy pop culture.
Finally saw the film last night and was very impressed. Definately the best live action Batman ever. I would say that it was pretty near note perfect in its storytelling.
I have to agree with the comments on fight scenes. My guess is that the approach was taken a) because the filmmakers liked the aesthetics; but more likely b) they had to hide some of the short comings of the costume.
Despite the costume being one of the best to date, I was still a little stiff in the cowl.
Spoiler:
I also enjoyed the fact that they managed to incorporate two villians into the film and had it make sense. Scarecrow works for Ras al'Ghul in a logical fashion. It didn't just feel like we were piling on the villians so we could have another star in the picture (following the mantra that more is better).
