It is better to get the message this way. It makes it something that can be talked about. The only problem is that if you view this at the office you are likely not going to be putting your hands down your pants right away. Then it is a matter of remembering to do it later. Not easy.
On a much less sexy note Tom Green did a good job for publicity on this a while back.

I the story goes that Tom Green was diagnosed with testicular cancer and he decided to do a lot of tongue-in-cheek stuff on it in order to get people to be aware of it. Some kid who had watched the show did a self exam and found somthing out of the ordinary. The kid saw a doctor and and they were able to detect the cancer early and do something about it. Tom Green had the kid on the show at a later date.
It was interesting.
