a) I think the kid was well within his rights. I doubt he'll get into much trouble other than MAYBE having to pay the money back.
b) What is up with this poor Mexican bullshit? I live in Arizona... there are plenty of Mexicans. Most of them came across the border in a LEGAL fashion. The asshats that can't wait their turn, or just illegaly cross because they are too poor are just shit out of luck in my opinion.
c) Due to identity theft, the kid will likely be issued a new SSN without any hassle at all, especially since this is in the public eye now.
d) This could set a TERRIBLE precedent regarding misuse of name/SSN/bank account info. There is an uprise in the use of bank account info being stolen and used, not to sap some sucker of all his hard earned money, but rather to push money through the account, hopefully unnoticed, to launder it. If you are responsible for transactions on your account which you did not allow, people could start getting in trouble (big, big trouble) for things they did not do. As the law SHOULD see it, the boy lawfuylly withdrew money from an account in his name, and his SSN (the SSN being the most important part for a financial/IRS-reporting institution) that was unlawfully put in to begin with. This may not make it his money, but he surely shouldn't have charges pressed against him.
