You don't have to pay someone do it. Go to a Sally's Beauty Supply. There's this stuff that comes in a jar called Manic Panic that comes in wild colors and lasts about 6 weeks. We have done her hair midnight blue, wildfire red and some crazy-ass purple (she was 12 when we started this).
Cost is about $7 a jar, get disposable gloves and have SO or a friend use a 1 inch wide paint brush and follow directions. Cool as hell.
