I completely understand this feeling! While I haven't done anything amazingly rebellious, I have had my moments. Last summer, I was dealing with boredom, frustrated at how plain my life was so I buzzed off all my hair. Now, that isn't something life changing but for me, it was just the spark I needed to get out of the doldrums. Having a child and working does limit options but sometimes you have to bend the rules and stretch the lines of life. Personally, I surprised people by piercing my tongue. Many people think there is only one use for this piercing (I'll leave the rest to the collective imaginations) but since I am sexually abstinite, the piercing was just a small way to bust out.
It is great to throw off all cares and wear what you will and feel on top of the world. Grasp hold of this feeling because all too often, the crappy parts of life bog us down to where we think the feelings of joy and euphoria will never stop by for a visit again.
So I say, go for it!
