First sentence: I lived in the sticks too, and I can guarantee you that when someone drove by with their music blaring, I thought they were absolute idiots. I am sure others shared my sentiments.
Second sentence: The distraction is the music itself. It is nearly impossible to hear an oncoming emergency vehicle when a driver next to you is blaring their music.
