you probably have too much impedance on the subs, most amps are meant to run at 2ohms, you might have it up to 4 and it will power them for sure, but after a while it shuts off, that means it is going into thermal meltdown and is shutting down before it does, change the wiring on the subs to lower ohms or your amp will fry, trust me. it is probably as simple as unbridging them, or if they are dvc, changing the wiring setup.
