I sometimes wonder if these sort of people ever "get it".

30,000 registered members are voluntarily subjecting themselves to this "fascist little thought police project with heavy handed moderation". What's more, many (including myself) are donating our hard earned money to support this site.

I have no doubts that halx will raise enough to ensure the continued survival of TFP- the problem was not that the members didn't want to donate, but instead that they didn't know there was a need.
