When I was 17 my social sciences teacher was interviewed by a news team and they wanted some classroom shots for ambience, so my huge hair was on the national news.
About three years ago I was on the Stockholm-Helsinki ferry with the amateur theatre group, we were all dressed out and partying like mad. On the ship was a German film crew making a documentary about Baltic ferries (more fun than it sounds like, believe me) and our gang was ever so photogenic and interesting, not to mention we had a few Germans among us who loved to talk with the film crew. Thanks to our contacts in Germany we got a tape of the show and we were all over it. So I've been on German TV dressed out as Severus Snape, on a Baltic ferry, singing. Top that for weirdness!
