when i was 8 or 9 the republican national convention was in houston (i think it was 1992) my grandma was the republican delegate from illinois so she got us tickets since we lived in houston at the time.
our seats were directly behind a couple of the big news cameras and i was leaning on the railing in front of us watching the people giving their speeches and the news cameras kept turning around and filming me, if I looked at them or anything they would tell me to just keep watching the person giving a speech
when my family got home we had like 15 messages on our ansering machine... I had been put on the national broadcast of the convention and had a total of like 5 minutes air time in 10-15 second pieces thruought the whole convention coverage... but of course nobody ever tapes the conventions so i never got to see the footage...
my freshman year in college my buddies and I were blasting the Texas Tech Fight song at the UT people camped out in one of the parking lots and the weather guy for the local news asked us to come and talk with him about the game weather... so we got to be on briefly for that ...
