Almost 10 years ago, PBS did a live national broadcast called "The Kids Are Alright" which concerned the versatility of American popular music as a teaching tool. One of the hosts was former Doors drummer John Densmore, and they allowed stations in other states to hook into the broadcast and feature their own panel of experts. I was on the panel of experts from Iowa Public Television, and it was a hoot.
