I just got married abount a month ago now and this was not even an issue at all. Neither one of us cared about having any kind of party.
I think one night I went out to eat with like 8 girlfriends and he had his best friend from out of town stay with him and they went to the beach and to dinner.
We both had fun in our own ways. I think that doing something that would upset your SO right before THE DAY is pretty fucking stupid. There is already enough stress during that time. Just keep it low key.
