You are aware no doubt that it was the Saudi Royal family themselves who invited the United States (and its petroleum engineers) into Saudi Arabia to help the Saudis extract the oil that they hadn't the technology to do themselves. The religious extremists (wahabbists) in Saudi Arabia didn't care for good old American ingenuity and expertise lending a helping hand to their ideological and political enemies, the less extreme (non-wahabbist) Saudi family.
