I think that what happened was terrible, but I'm a bit worried that people will start to refuse transfusions with the reemergence of this story in the news. Even worse would be if people stopped donating.
I donate regularly, even though I almost pass out each time. I'd hate for people who would otherwise give blood to stop because of this.
