This past weekend, I saw 3 movies, 2 for the first time and 1 that I hadn't seen in awhile.
Saturday night I watched "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?". It still amazes me that this film was ever made, what with the cartoon characters from Disney and Warner Bros being in the same film. I'm not sure a movie of this type could be made today. It's a great film and I really like Los Angeles of the 1940's. 10/10.
Sunday afternoon was "Madagascar". Very enjoyable film, lots of lines for the adults as well as silly visuals for the kids. Not as good as some other animated offerings but very solid. Could have used more monkeys and penguins. 7.5-8/10.
Sunday evening was "National Treasure". Good Disney story with a nice blending of real history with movie storyline. This being a Disney film at least partially aimed at the younger audience, the bad guys never hit anybody when they shoot at the good guys. The movie has a nice pace with the good guys and bad guys getting what they deserve. 8/10.
