Think of it as a Scooby Doo episode.
The fact that it was Old Man Greenway dressed up in a Yeti costume isn't half as entertaining as the running around trying to discover who the Yeti was. Besides if all is revealed, then all that would be left of the show would be them trying to make a radio out of coconuts, and have celebrity guests who appear on the island.
