Well I thought that I had the problem gone, and I recently (yesterday) reformatted my computer (on account I was extremely bored and just some spring cleaning for my computer). The problem showed up again today, which, IMO, means that it could be a driver issue. I do not use custom screensavers, no screen capture utility, no webcam. The driver was the latest WHQL-certified driver off of the Nvidia website. Temeprature readings were fine (50ºC for the graphics card, 45ºC for the processor).
