Did a doctor diagnose her wiht mono or was this a self-diagnosis? Most young women are given pregnancy tests as a matter of course when they are in the hospital for a diagnoses, especially if they are put on medication (as a just in case)
Mono drains you physically, so it's possible that the flow and the symptoms of her period are lessened. but if she wasn't given a pregnancy test at the doctor, I'd probably take one
