Wireless connection drops..
So I've been experiencing dropped connections on my wireless network over the past week (This is at home, and so usually when I'm at college, I don't have to deal with this), and I wanted to figure out if certain things were causing it. I was going to try and set up these experiments tomorrow to check certain factors I thought might be messing up the signal, but I wanted to hear some second opinions as well.
1. The phone: We've got a land line, and a VOIP line that uses the same internet connection that's feeding the wireless router. However, even when the land line gets used, it feels like the wireless is going down, even though there's no relation between them.
2. The microwave: I'm not so sure about this one, but my friend mentioned that he thought his at home was screwing up his wireless as well. I also seem to notice when my family's in the kitchen or dining area, my connection drops are more frequent.
When my family is asleep during the night, and I'm up all crazy hours (like right now), the connection has almost never dropped.
Are these all known conditions that affect wireless, are there others, and how can I help my connection be robust to such factors?
Thanks ^_^.
