You forgot about the part where we pay lots of money, go for a 3 day course, take a exam, get our picture taken, get personal references out the wazoo, send away for our license, pay more money and then wait 6 months for the CFC to process your application.
After all that, we can walk out of a gun shop with a non-restricted long-gun in as little as 10 minutes... As long as the government approves your TAN.

I didn't have to go through as much as that, but I did get my FAC years ago. The part that I can live with is the walking out the same day with the firearm, not all the other bullshit the Gov makes us do (I'm no fan of rediculous gun laws)....just so we're clear
