That scene is rather interesting, I forget what Qui-Gon said that made Yoda request to become his apprentice

Spoiler: Yeah he comes back and tells Yoda that his way of the Force is outdated and incorrect and that he should respect the Living Force and learn from it. The Jedi hit a stalemate and were using the Force as a tool and regarded it as a science as opposed to a mythical force.
Qui-Gon sets that straight and Yoda goes to Dagobah where there is mass life readings (Luke says this himself) which is the best place to learn about the living force. So yes, Qui-Gon does teach him a lesson. |
