That poll could easily be condensed down to 10 responses to fit here.
I got it down to 9, and can see some more potential condensing.
1. It's unhealthy.
2. Don't like the effect it has on me.
3. Potential negative consequences not related to health. (it's illegal, drug screening etc.)
4. Cost.
5. Distaste.
6. Moral, ethical, or religious reasons.
7. Lack of interest.
8. Lack of opportunity
9. Effect it would have on others.
But it seems to be a strange question to ask. It would be like me putting up a poll asking people why they don't read comic books, or ride roller coasters. These things are not activities most people regularly engage in. The question is why do the people who do these things do them, what attracts them to these unusual activities. Most people never have to make the conscious choice about whether or not to smoke pot--it's not a choice I've ever had to make--read comics, or ride roller coasters, or any of thousands of other niche activities. It's not a matter of why you choose as you do, it's a matter of not having to make the choice at all, for most of us.
